Avaira Vitality

Avaira Vitality is a family of reusable monthly contact lenses from CooperVision. The range includes Avaira Vitality for spherical vision correction and Avaira Vitality Toric for astigmatism. Both lenses are made from silicone hydrogel and are designed for daily wear, meaning they should normally be removed before sleep.

Avaira Vitality is designed for people who are short-sighted or long-sighted, while Avaira Vitality Toric provides additional cylinder and axis correction for astigmatism.

Avaira Vitality material and lens design

Avaira Vitality lenses are made from fanfilcon A silicone hydrogel with a naturally wettable material that does not rely on a surface coating. The spherical Avaira Vitality lens uses an Aberration Neutralising System™, while Avaira Vitality Toric uses Optimised Toric Lens Geometry™ to help maintain a stable lens position for astigmatism correction.

Both Avaira Vitality models also incorporate a Class 1 UV blocker. UV-blocking contact lenses are not a substitute for UV-protective sunglasses or other protective eyewear because contact lenses do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area.

Monthly replacement and daily wear

Avaira Vitality lenses have a monthly replacement schedule and are designed for daily wear. They should be removed before sleeping and cleaned, disinfected and stored between wears according to the instructions for the specific lens and care product.
