Reusable contact lenses require an appropriate care routine when they are removed between wears. The Eye care range at Netlens includes multi-purpose contact lens solutions as well as hydrogen peroxide-based care systems.

Multi-purpose solutions such as Opti-free, Renu and Biotrue are designed for several steps in the lens care routine, depending on the individual product. Hydrogen peroxide-based systems such as Aosept Plus Hydraglyde and Easysept use a different disinfection process and require neutralisation before the lenses can be worn again.

Multi-purpose and hydrogen peroxide lens care

Different contact lens solutions should not be assumed to work in the same way. Multi-purpose and hydrogen peroxide-based systems have different cleaning, disinfection, soaking and handling instructions.

Always follow the directions provided with the specific care product and use the correct lens case or neutralisation system where required. Hydrogen peroxide solution must never come into direct contact with the eye before it has been fully neutralised according to the product instructions.

Eye drops and contact lenses

The Eye care range also includes lubricating eye drops. Eye drops are used for eye lubrication and should not be confused with contact lens solutions used for cleaning, disinfecting or storing reusable lenses.
