Monthly contact lenses

Unlike daily disposable lenses, the same lenses are used again over multiple days, so they normally require cleaning, disinfection and storage between wears. What does monthly replacement mean?

A monthly replacement schedule tells you when a contact lens should be replaced. It does not automatically mean that the lens can be worn continuously for a month or slept in overnight. Wearing schedules vary between lens models. Some lenses are intended for daily wear and should be removed before sleep, while certain models may be approved for extended or continuous wear. Always follow the wearing instructions for your specific lenses and the recommendations from your optician or eye care professional.

Monthly lenses differ by material and technology

Not all monthly contact lenses are the same. Lens material, water content, oxygen transmissibility, UV filtering, lens technologies and wearing schedules vary between products. These characteristics should therefore be checked for the individual lens rather than assumed to apply to all monthly contact lenses.

Choosing and reordering monthly contact lenses

Parameters such as power, base curve, diameter, cylinder, axis and addition vary depending on the type of lens and your prescription.
