Vad är skillnaden mellan månadslinser och dagslinser?

Månadslinser används i upp till 30 dagar och kräver rengöring varje dag. Dagslinser kastas efter en dag och är bekvämare men dyrare per användning. Månadslinser är mer miljövänliga och kostnadseffektiva om du använder linser regelbundet.

Hur vet jag vilken styrka jag ska ha på mina kontaktlinser?

Din styrka står på receptet från din optiker. Receptet visar siffror för höger och vänster öga (t.ex. -2.50 eller +1.75). Beställ aldrig linser med annan styrka än vad din optiker har ordinerat, även om du tycker du ser bra ut.

Vilka linser passar bäst för torra ögon?

För torra ögon rekommenderas silikonhydrogelinser med hög syregenomsläpplighet som Biofinity, Acuvue Oasys eller Total 30. Dessa material låter mer syre komma igenom till hornhinnan. Undvik linser med låg vattenhalt om du har torra ögon.

Kan jag sova med kontaktlinser?

Endast om du har speciella dygnet-runt-linser (extended wear) som är godkända för detta av din optiker. Vanliga månadslinser eller dagslinser ska aldrig sovas med – det ökar risken för ögoninfektioner och syrebrist i hornhinnan avsevärt.
