Daily disposable and reusable Acuvue lenses
Many Acuvue lenses at Netlens are daily disposable contact lenses. A fresh pair is used for each new day of wear and the lenses are discarded after removal, so they do not require cleaning or overnight storage.
Acuvue Oasys and Acuvue 2 are reusable lenses. When worn on a daily-wear schedule, these lenses have a two-week replacement schedule and are removed, cleaned, disinfected and stored between wears. Certain Acuvue reusable lenses may also be approved for extended wear for up to 7 nights. Overnight wear should only be followed when it is appropriate for the specific lens and has been recommended by your optician or eye care professional.
Technologies within the Acuvue range
Different Acuvue families use different lens materials and technologies. 1-Day Acuvue Moist lenses use LACREON® Technology, while Acuvue Oasys reusable lenses use HYDRACLEAR® PLUS Technology. Acuvue Oasys 1-Day lenses use HydraLuxe® Technology.
Toric Acuvue lenses use stabilisation designs intended to help maintain the correct lens orientation for astigmatism correction, while multifocal models use optical designs developed for vision across more than one distance. Technologies and specifications should always be checked at product level.
